- At-the-door Registration
- We accept at-the-door registrations on a space-available basis.
Cash or check payments only—we are unable
to accept credit cards at the event. We cannot guarantee a spot
to anyone, so for your best chance of getting in, arrive one hour
before the event is schedlued to start.
- Retreat Lottery
- Open Gate
Sangha processes retreat registrations twice a year through a
random lottery system and may not be able to offer a spot to everyone who
wishes to attend. All retreat registrations submitted before the
lottery deadline are considered equally—there are no special
considerations. For retreats that are already full, you can put
your name on a waiting list.
- Retreat Waiting List
- When a retreat is full, Open Gate Sangha keeps a waiting list
of those who are interested in attending the retreat if another
participant cancels. In the event of a cancellation, Open Gate
Sangha contacts those on the list to see if they are interested
in attending.
- Sangha
- The word sangha is usually defined as “spiritual community.”
We use it here at Open Gate Sangha in a general way to describe
the community of people who are interested in Adyashanti’s
teachings.
- Satsang
- A talk by Adyashanti followed by a dialogue with the audience.
Literally translated, satsang means association with truth.

“Don’t concern yourself with your mind’s interpretation
of the words. Just let the words in, without thinking about them
or trying to understand them. Then they can penetrate to a place
that is beyond the mind, and instead of your mind hearing them,
your Self hears them. Doing this elicits what the words are meant
to elicit—the Self. If you’re not running the words
through the mind, they go beyond the ego to Silence, to the Heart.”
~ Adyashanti
“All you have
to do is say yes. Don’t make some big project
out of it. Don’t make some big deal out of it. Just say yes.
You don’t even know what it means to say yes,
but you say it anyway. You’ll never know what it means to
say yes, but you do it anyway. Freedom and Love arise
when you die into the unknown mystery of being.”
~ Adyashanti
